Where is Sanctum located?
Sanctum is at 213 24th Street North. We are in the same neighborhood as June, Yo' Mama's, Last Call Bakery, Frothy Monkey, and Zephyr Barber. Navigate to us.
Where do I park?
There are three designated parking spaces directly behind Sanctum’s building. Look for our parking signs to know that you’re the right place.
There is free street parking on 2nd Ave N, before you hit 24th street. Past 24th street there is also paid street parking available along 2nd ave N, and 3rd Ave N. After 5 PM, and all day Saturday and Sunday street parking is free.
Do you have a piercer? Do you sell jewellery?
No. We do not have a piercer, and do not offer piercing services.
Can I bring my pet to Sanctum?
No. The Jefferson County Health department does not allow animals in tattoo parlors. ADA Service animals are permitted with a special appointment.
Are you hiring?
No. We do not have any openings at this time in the comic shop, or the tattoo studio (apprenticeships, or established artists).
How much does a tattoo cost?
A tattoo can cost anywhere from $100 (our shop-minimum) to $1,000. The final price of the piece depends on its size, intricacy, and time to complete. To get a specific quote, contact one of our tattooers.
Does Sanctum accept walk-ins?
No. Tattoos are by appointment only. Schedule an appointment here.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Contact one of our tattooers directly. They all handle their own schedules.
Do your artists do cover-ups?
Yes. Some examples of our cover-up work can be found in our portfolios. If you’d like further examples of our cover-up work, contact us.
How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?
18
Do you tattoo minors?
No. We do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18.
Can a friend or family member sit with me during my tattoo?
If you need someone to sit with you during your tattoo, please only bring one guest. More than one guest is discouraged due to space limitations.
When are new comics released?
New comic book day is every Wednesday.
What type of comics do you carry?
All kinds! We stock current super-hero periodicals, and graphic novels from Marvel & DC, as well alternative genre comics from Image, Boom!, Dark Horse, Silver Sprocket, Fantagraphics, and etc. We carry manga as well.
Does Sanctum have back-issues?
Yes. We keep a healthy stock of ungraded vintage comics, and back-issues in regular rotation.
Does you have graded comics?
Generally, no. We do not specialize in graded comics. We also do not work with any third-party grading companies such as CGC, CBCS, etc.
Do you carry comics suitable for my child to read?
Yes. We have specially curated all-ages, & young adult sections, in addition to standard and alternative fare.
Does Sanctum buy old comics?
Yes. As an approximate rule, if your comics are from the mid-eighties and back, or have a cover price that's under $1, we're potentially interested in purchasing them. We unfortunately can't make guarantees about buying your comics without having a look at what's on hand. Get in touch and we can figure things out.
Do you offer pull-lists?
Yes. We offer subscription services for those who wish to keep up with new releases. Contact us to set up a pull-list.
If I’m looking for a comic that’s not in stock, can I place a special order?
Yes. We’re happy to help track down a comic you’re on the hunt for, to the best of our ability. Contact us and let us know what you’re looking for.
Can I buy comics from Sanctum online?
Yes. Our web-store features our graphic novel inventory. Though periodicals aren’t included there, you’re welcome to contact us concerning invoicing & mailing services for new comics, and back-issues.
Do you stock action figures, or Pops?
No.
Do you sell, or buy trading cards?
No.
